Buy Long pepper – Thippili plant from SR plant nursery website. This plant is a perennial aromatic slender climber plant with large woody roots. Heart-shaped leaves abroad rounded lobes at the base measure about 5-9 cm long and 3-5 cm wide. Vines start emerging 6 months after planting. Black or green fruits are firm and take 2 months to mature. Fruits are harvested before ripening.
FERTILIZER: Application of any all-purpose organic fertilizer before the growing season starts (spring season)
PROPAGATION: Done through the terminal stem or vine cuttings before the rainy season starts.
REPOTTING: Transfer the plants to new large pots when plant growth seems to be leggy and root balls are seen outside.
PRUNING: Pinch off the vines in the second year to encourage bushy growth in plants.
